Garland, Texas – The men's swim and dive program wrapped up competition at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Swim and Dive Championships in Texas.
The Eagles finished seventh overall as a team and set numerous program records.
Ethan Spillers broke four records during the four-day event. He now owns the 200 free record (1:48.12), 200 butterfly (1:57.70), 100 butterfly (52.05) and 100 breaststroke (58.49).
Scott Harrison swam a 5:39.92 for 24
th place in the 500 free.
Jack Lopez swam a 23.25 in the 50 free. In the 200 free relay, the Eagles placed eighth with a time of 1:33.34. In the 100 fly, Spillers posted a time of 52.05 for 11
th place. In the 400 IM,
Nathan Jennings posted a time of 4:48.75 for 14
th place. Spillers went 59.19 in the 100 breaststroke for sixth place.
Tyler Young had a time of 1:12.65 for 19
th place.
Tyler Hamrick swam a 58.90/59.12 in the 100 back.
Alan Ramirez had a time of 1:07.01. Jennings swam the 1650 free in 18:17.88 for ninth place. Harrison had a time of 20:17.80 and Young had a time of 20:58.36. Hamrick went 2:12.50 in the 200 back for 17
th place and Ramirez went 2:25.57 for 18
th place. Lopez had a time of 51.16 in the 100 free. Spillers posted a time of 2:09.68/2:11.08 in the 200 breaststroke for eight place. Hamrick had a 2:44.66 for 19
thplace and Harrison had a 2:52.06 for 20
th place. Young had a time of 2:26.43/2:30.82 for 16
th place in the 200 fly. The Eagles place eighth in the 400 free relay with a time of 3:33.77.
