Box Score Junior guard
Jack McRoskey poured in a career-high 28 points, including all of his three-point attempts, but it wasn't enough to get Colorado College its first victory of the season.
Southwestern University connected on 15 of 25 three-point attempts and left Reid Arena with an 81-67 victory.
McRoskey shot 77 percent from the floor, making 10 of his 13 shots overall and all three of his long-range efforts. He also sank all five of his free-throw attempts.
"Tremendous effort by our student-athletes and everyone surrounding them this weekend," head coach
Jeff Conarroe said. "The scoreboard does not tell the true story and hopefully we can learn from this."
The score was knotted at 36-36 after McRoskey hit a triple almost thee minutes into the second half, but 9-for-11 shooting from behind the arc allowed the Pirates to pull away.
Aaron Acosta scored all nine of his points on 3-for-6 shooting from behind the arc. The junior guard also recorded three steals.

Scott Cunningham recorded nine points and led the Tigers with six assists.
Junior forward
Will Nisbett pulled in seven rebounds and added six points.
Colorado College was 11-for-25 on its three-point attempts and scored 26 points in the paint.
Jacob Hester led the Pirates with 20 points.

Sam Kinney pulled in five rebounds.
Isaac Zachem recorded six points.
Southwestern University Standouts
Kyle Poerschke recorded 16 points and six rebounds.
Trenton Garrett grabbed 10 rebounds and scored six points.
