DALLAS, Texas – In what was the regular season finale, the Concordia Texas program continued to make firm improvement across the board at the DBU Old Glory Gallop. The Tornados combined for a total of nine season-best times, including personal records by Cade Ehlers, Damon Vasquez, Ashley Rivera, and Ashley Ramirez on Saturday morning.

All six men collected season-best in the 8k. Thomas Hughes (26:27) and Samuel Valdez (27:57) led the way for CTX. Ehlers was efficient with a time of 28:03, while Daniel Bizima clocked in at 29:39. Vasquez & Edward Wells both crossed the finish line almost simultaneously as they each finished the race at 31:31.

In the women's 5k, Rivera crushed her personal best time from the same course from just a year ago by 36 seconds at 21:09. Cachelle Flores flourished in her first ever collegiate 5k with a time of 26:48, and Ramirez's PR of 26:59 helped set the tone for CTX.

Sophomore Rylee Whorton also finished in under 30 minutes at 28:57. Maryn Trianni (33:52) and Lluvia Rodriguez (33:56) placed back-to-back at the meet, and Kaiyla Love recorded a time of 44:33 to round out the scoring for CTX.

Concordia Texas will now have almost a month to prepare for the SCAC Cross Country Championships in Shreveport, Louisiana on November 2nd.
