Men's Tennis Crushes Crusaders, 6-1, in Home Finale
SEGUIN, Texas -- The Texas Lutheran men's tennis team concluded its 2025 home campaign with a resounding 6-1 win over University of Dallas Saturday afternoon at TLU's Ohlenbusch-Rinn Tennis Center.
TLU swept through doubles competition.
Cash Herrera (New Braunfels/New Braunfels) and Eric Moninger (New Braunfels/New Braunfels) took the No. 1 doubles match with a 6-4 score. The team of Revel Wicks (Portland/Gregory-Portland) and Logan Randall (Idalou/Idalou) won their match 7-6 while the team of JT Figueroa (New Braunfels/John Paul II) and Kadon Sullins (Kyle/Lehman) won in a decisive 6-3 fashion.
The Bulldogs would win five of six singles matches on Saturday. It took freshman Revel Wicks three sets to pick up the win in No. 2 singles, 3-6, 6-4, 7-6. For the second straight day, it took Eric Moninger three sets to earn the win in No. 3 singles, 3-6, 6-4, 6-2.
Logan Randall, Kadon Sullins, and JT Figueroa would all win their matches in straight sets.
Texas Lutheran will conclude the regular season on April 16 as they travel to Kerrville to face the Schreiner Mountaineers for the final match of the regular season. First serve is set for 1 PM.
