Wellehan Sets Pool Record; Tigers Fall to Mines

The Colorado College men's swimming and diving team dropped a 146-77 decision to Colorado Mines Saturday afternoon at Schlessman Natatoriium.
 
Sophomore diver Wyatt Wellehan set a pool record in the 1-meter diving competition with 348.15 points.
 
Andrew Colgan posted his fifth victory in just three meets this season, winning the 100 breaststroke in a time of 59.49 seconds, followed in second place by Collin Ralston in 59.75.
 
Jack Hussin also posted a victory on Saturday, claiming the 100 freestyle in 48.4 seconds. Hussin also finished second in the 200 free with  time of 1:46.74.
 
Caleb Piemann finished third in the 100 backstroke, and Edmund Davis did the same in the 500 freestyle.
 
"We improved from last year's performance against Mines," head coach Jen Buffin said. "They have a great program and we look forward to racing them every year. This meet helps our team get better and provides great opportunities to race. We had several season bests, looking for to continuing to make improvements as we head into next week's meet against Adams State."
 
The Tigers host Adam State on Saturday, Nov. 16, beginning at 12 p.m.
