
Austin College Men Pick Up Road Victory
BATESVILLE, Ark. - The Austin College men's basketball team held a slim 39-38 lead at halftime against Lyon College before pulling away down the stretch, handing the Scots an 82-74 defeat on their home court on Saturday afternoon in non-conference action. The 'Roos are now 2-1 overall on the year.

Jackson Rennie led four Austin College players in double figures with a game-high 23 points, knocking down 8-of-15 field goal attempts including 4-of-7 from long range, and Kidus Getenet came off the bench to score 15 points on 5-of-7 shooting, hitting 3-of-4 from beyond the arc. Jamien June chipped in 12 points and four rebounds, and Jordan Hudgins added 10 points, four boards, and four assists coming off the bench for Austin College.
The 'Roos shot 54.2% from the field as a team, knocking down 8-of-19 three pointers, and committed only five turnovers in the victory. Austin College got 29 points from the bench compared to 20 for Lyon, and also out-scored the Scots 12-8 in points off of turnovers in a game that saw 14 lead changes. Kylon McCullough hit 3-of-6 threes to lead Lyon with 17 points, and Malik Madison had a double-double with 12 points and 10 boards for the Scots.
Austin College and Lyon will meet up next Saturday, this time in Hughey Gym for a 3:00 p.m. game.
