ABILENE – McMurry on Saturday added two event wins and two runner-up finishes on the second day of its double-dual with Adams State and UT-Permian Basin.
The McMurry women fell to UTPB 160-95 and Adams State, 133-90. The McMurry men lost to UTPB, 226-64 and Adams State, 142-117.
Caitlyn Sauer-Newell won the 100 backstroke in 1:07.10 on Saturday after taking the 50-yard backstroke on Friday in 31.33 seconds.
Lorin Mow was second in the 50-yard butterfly in 30.45.
McMurry women's 400-yard freestyle relay team of Mow Sauer-Newell,
Maddy Rohrer and
Leilani Washington was second at 3:56.73.
Maddy Rohrer won the women's 50 freestyle in 25.89 seconds on Friday.
Wes Scalf won the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:00.55 on Saturday. He had placed second in the 50-yard breaststroke on Friday at 27.85.
McMurry returns to action next weekend at Centenary.
