The Colorado College cross country teams competed at the UCSS Rust Buster Meet Saturday in Monument Valley Park.
 
The men's team finished fifth, behind Division II teams Colorado Christian, Colorado School of Mines, MSU Denver and UCCS. The women, meanwhile, did not produce a team score since only four runners completed the race.
 
Senior Tony Calderon led the way once again for the men's team, finishing 14^th overall with an 8K time of 25:20. Junior Paul Olsen finished 60^th, followed by sophomore Josh Fry in 65^th. Freshmen Theo Snowden (67^th), Lucaiah Smith-Miodownik (72^nd), Mason Castle (73^rd) and Parker Kerth (74^th) rounded out the scorers for CC.
 
For the women, sophomore Megan Koch placed 40^th overall with a 5K time of 21:05, followed by sophomore Emily Dwyer (41^st), and freshmen Claire Irigoyen (42^nd) and Audra Burrall (51^st).
 
 
What Head Coach Ted Castaneda said:
"Tony (Calderon) had a very impressive race today. He is well on his way to possibly qualifying for the national meet later in the season."
 
"We had god performances from all our freshmen today."
