Three Colorado College swimmers and a diver won a pair of individual events Saturday as the Tigers defeated Austin College, 173-31, Saturday at Schlessman Natatorium.
Junior
Maddie Amick and sophomore
Peyton Classon, along with freshmen
Emma Phillips and

Phillips continued her dominance in the longer freestyle events, winning the 200- and 500-yard races on Saturday. She also anchored the Tigers' triumphant 200 freestyle relay team.
Meanwhile, Bowens was stellar in the sprints once again, winning the 50- and 100-yard freestyle races for the second time in as many days. In addition, she swam on the first-place 400 medley relay team.
Amick won her first two races of the season on Saturday, taking the 200-yard backstroke and 200 breaststroke.
In diving, Classon won both 1-meter, posting 189.60 points for the five-dive event, and 285.15 points for six dives.
Lani Flagg finished second on the 1-meter board, while
Jennifer Middleton was the runner-up on the 3-meter.
Kate Brush (200 butterfly) and
Gina Lynch (400 IM) also won for the Tigers.
"The team shirts we wore today said "RESILIENT,"," head coach
Anne Goodman James said. "That's the thought that drives us during this crazy season. Today being the second day of tough racing in a row, definitely forced us to be physically and mentally resilient. We are developing a toughness that will give us results beyond our limited preparation when we get to the SCAC Championships. I like the way our team just loves to race, and the excitement that they show for their teammates."
The Tigers return to action on Saturday, Jan. 30, against Colorado Mines in Golden, Colo.
