GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - Southwestern University Women's Golf traveled down to Houston, Texas to compete in the Space City Classic tournament co-hosted by St. Thomas & Trinity University. The tournament consisted of 36 holes over the course of two days. The Pirates finished in third place out of eight shooting rounds of 323 & 325.
The Pirates were led by sophomore Sydney Jackson who fired rounds of 78, 78 (+14) where she finished in T4th place. Behind her with a T8th place finish was junior Rachel Harris who shot rounds of 85, 76 (+19). Next in T15th place was junior Sloane Panter who finished with rounds of 81, 84 (+23), after her was sophomore Mackenzie Brown who shot 81, 87 (+26) putting her in 22nd place. Finishing in T26th place and rounding out the Pirates tournament five was junior Isabella Valenzuela with rounds of 83, 87 (+28).
Southwestern women were ranked second in the field for par 3's playing them at a 3.20 (+8) for the tournament. They also finished in second in birdies and pars, collecting a total of fifteen birdies and seventy-seven pars. S. Panter was tied for second in par 3's playing them -1 for both rounds.
