ABILENE, Texas -- Texas Lutheran claimed a 1-1 draw Saturday with McMurry University on Saturday afternoon in Abilene.
TLU's overall record now stands at 2-0-1. McMurry's record is 2-0-2.
McMurry took a 1-0 lead in the 67th minute with a goal from Courtney Kendrick.
But TLU responded less than three minutes later with a Rebecca Rivas goal in the 70th minutes. Raquel Morris assisted on the Rivas goal.
McMurry out-shot TLU 23-7 and had a 10-5 edge in shots on goal. TLU keepers Krystal Pulaski and Madison Stout combined for nine saves.
TLU continues its non-conference slate with a 6 p.m. match against Southwestern on Friday. The match will be played in Georgetown.
