Houston, TX- The UST Celts secured a 76-62 victory against McMurry in their latest conference matchup at home, improving their record to 13-1 overall and remaining undefeated in conference play at 5-0.

The first half was intense, with both teams exchanging early blows. McMurry took a brief lead, but Angel Johnson sparked the Celts with a jump shot, followed by a dunk that pushed the lead to 19-10. From there, the Celts dominated, jumping out to a 30-11 advantage. McMurry battled back, forcing UST turnovers and knocking down shots, but the Celts still managed to hold a 36-24 lead heading into halftime.

In the second half, McMurry made a push, cutting the lead to 10 points, but Ricky Altamirano hit a crucial three-pointer to extend the lead to 41-28. The Celts continued to build on their momentum with a 6-0 run, making it 49-31. Although McMurry managed to make it a 10-point game again in the final minutes (66-55), UST kept their composure and sealed the win.

Angel Johnson led the team with 19 points, shooting 8-12 from the field, while Reyce Allen contributed 15 points and 5 rebounds. Marion Williams added 10 points, and Ricky Altamirano hit three three-pointers for 9 points.
