JOSH SAUNDERS OF AUSTIN COLLEGE, a junior forward from Athens, Texas, has been named SCAC Basketball Player-of-the-Week for games played Monday, December 6 through Sunday, December 12.

Saunders scored a game-high 18 points and grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds in the Kangaroos’ 79-64 win over Rhema Bible College. He finished the game one assists shy of a triple-double and tallied three steals.

Saunders shot 46.2 percent (6-of-13) from floor while connecting on all four of his free throws. He also was 2-of-3 shooting from three-point range in the win.
