NICK ROSE OF
COLORADO COLLEGE, a senior guard from Lakewood,
Colo., has been named SCAC Basketball Player-of-the-Week for games
played Monday, December 20 through Sunday, January 3.
Rose averaged 26.5 points, 6.0 assists, 4.5
rebounds and 3.5 assists while leading Colorado College to
victories over Trinity and Southwestern. He made 19 of 33
field-goal attempts (.576), including 7 of 15 shots from behind the
three-point line (.467), and all eight of his free throw
attempts.
Rose scored 18 points and dished out a
career-high eight assists during Friday's 69-54 win against
Trinity. In Sunday's 107-84 victory over Southwestern, he poured in
a career-high 35 points in just 24 minutes, making 13 of 20 shots
from the floor and 5 of 8 from beyond the arc.
With 53 points, Rose climbed to places to No. 8 on CC's career scoring list with 1,182 points. He also climbed into fifth with 133 career steals and moved up five spots to No. 23 with 114 assists.
