MATT SLUSS OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a sophomore from Harker Heights, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Men's Swimmer of the Week for all meets through Sunday, November 8th.
Sluss, a member of two relay teams for the Pirates, earned two first place finishes in last weekend's dual meet against Austin College.
Sluss took first in the 100 backstroke with a time of 54.85 and in the 100 butterfly with a time of 53.13.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior Arash Ataei of Centenary College began the day by taking the 200 yard free in 1:49.01, before swimming in an outside lane to take the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 1:00.26.
