PANCHO ESCOBEDO OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a sophomore from San Antonio, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Men's Track Athlete-of-the-Week for meets conducted from Monday, February 28 through Sunday, March 6.

Escobedo finished fourtth in the 5000-meter race at the UIW Invitational in a time of 15:04.73. His time would have won last years SCAC Championships, and currently sits second in the conference. Escobedo's time was a personal best by more than a minute and 15 seconds.
