MITCH SWANSON OF BIRMINGHAM-SOUTHERN COLLEGE, a junior from Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., has been selected the SCAC Men's Field Athlete-of-the-Week for meets conducted from Monday, April 4 through Sunday, April 10.

Swanson finished in first place in the long jump with a distance of 6.85-meters which is a person record, school record and positioned him with the second best mark in the SCAC. 

Swanson later went on to finish third in the 400-meter with another personal record of 50.08 and was the lead leg in the 1600-meter relay that finished first as well.
