JOEY QUINTERO OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a senior from Karnes, Texas, had an outstanding season to lead the Southwestern men's team in 2014. Quintero tied for overall high points scored at the recent SCAC Men's Track & Field Championship. He won the Hammer with a toss of 34.77m ranking him No. 1 on the SCAC performance list. Quintero also placed third in third additional events; shotput (11.36m), discus (32.75m), and the javelin (38.12m). He finished in the Top 5 of all four throwing categories on the SCAC Performance List.
