GARRETT GARZA OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a junior from Round Rock, Texas, has been named the SCAC Field Athlete of the Week for meets held through Sunday February 25th.
Garza won the shot put at the Trinity University Open on Saturday with a toss of 48 feet, 3.25 inches.
Garza also took third in the discus with a toss of 134-3.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Freshman Devin Rosas of Southwestern University won the long jump at the Trinity Open with a leap of 6.50 meters. First-year Naim Barrett of Trinity University won the triple jump with a mark of 13.66m and took fourth in the long jump with a mark of 6.16m.
