JOEY POLIO OF CENTRE COLLEGE, a senior from Owensboro, Ky., has been selected the SCAC Men's Track Athlete-of-the-Week for meets conducted from Monday, March 16 through Sunday, March 22.

In his first outdoor meet of the season, Polio finished sixth place out of 27 men in his first ever 10,000 meter race. Not only did Joey place well in the event filled with many NCAA Division I runners, but he ran a new school record time of 31:54.05. He is the first Centre distance runner to ever break 32 minutes for the 10,000 meter race.
