MICHAEL ERICKSON OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a sophomore from Sugar Land, Texas has been selected the SCAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week for meets run through Saturday, October 17th.
Erickson ran a 14 second personal best time of 26:14.1 for 8k at the pre-nationals meet hosted by UW-Oshkosh. He finished fourth for his team working with fellow sophomore Jacob Hammond to contribute to the fastest top five average in Trinity history (26:02). His time is nearly a minute faster than his best 8k last year.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore runner Abraham Devenport of Southwestern University posted a personal best with an 8K time of 28:15.6 at the UIW Invitational.
