JOHN JACOB OF JOHNSON & WALES UNIVERSITY, a senior from Aurora, Ohio, has been named the SCAC Men’s Runner of the Week for meets ran through Sunday, September 29th.
Jacob led the Wildcats to a runner-up finish at the NMHU Cross Country Jam last Saturday, placing third individually in a field filled with Division II runners. He crossed the line of the 8K course in 26:51, setting a new personal record by 20 seconds.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior Adam Mahler of Colorado College led the Tigers to a fourth place finish at the NMHU Cross Country Jam. Mahler placed fourth individually with his best time of the season 27:14 in the 8k. Freshman Lucas Wolf of St. Thomas was the second Division III runner to cross the finish line at the Concordia Cross Country Invitational. Wolf finished the 8K course with a time of 28:50, good for 17th overall in a meet filled with Division II teams.
