BERNICE LEONARD OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY was named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference women's Golfer of the Week for competitions through September 15.

Leonard earned the honor after tying for third place at the Lady Bulldog Invitational, hosted by Texas Lutheran University. She led the Pirates' squad to a fifth place finish in the event.

She posted single-round scores of 79 and 76 to total 155 (+13). Her second round mark of 76 (+4) was the best among all SCAC athletes competing.

The Pirates will travel next to the Lady Cru Fall Invitational in Killeen, Texas September 28-29.
