BROOKE SHIPLEY OF DEPAUW
UNIVERSITY, a senior goalkeeper from
Indianapolis, Ind., has been named the SCAC Women's Soccer
Defensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Monday,
September 1 through Sunday, September 7.
Despite dropping both games over the weekend,
Shipley recorded 19 saves (9 against Wittenberg,
10 against Emory) and allowed just two goals in 184:57 of play in
1-0 losses to eighth-ranked Emory and 12th-ranked Wittenberg.
The Wittenberg goal came in overtime while the Emory goal was a
penalty kick which came just after she saved a previous penalty
kick attempt.
