KATY JOYNER OF RHODES COLLEGE, a senior defender from Dallas, Texas, has been named the SCAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Monday, September 15 through Sunday, September 21.

Joyner was a key member in both of Rhodes’ victories this past weekend.  The Lynx were able to earn their fourth and fifth shutouts of the season with a pair of 1-0 wins over #22 Trinity and Southwestern. 

Joyner has also been a key contributor in the three straight shut-out victories for the Lynx, two of which are against nationally ranked opponents - #9 Emory and #22 Trinity.
