ELLEN SILK OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a sophomore from Portland, Maine, has been selected the SCAC Women's Swimmer of the Week for all meets through Sunday, October 25th.
Silk won two events (200 MR, 100 fly) this weekend against Western State, and was second in the 200 fly and 400 free relay. All four of those times lead the SCAC rankings--200 MR 1:51.87, 100 fly 59.28, 200 fly 2:17.59, 400 FR 3:48.28 (57.27 lead off).
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore Lindsay Hagmann of Trinity University swam the breaststroke leg on Trinity's winning 200 medley relay and contributed a 24.73 split on her leg of the winning Tiger 200 freestyle relay. Freshman Elena Ring of Centenary College claimed the 100 IM (1:05.79) and the 100 back (1:06.48).
