ISABEL OLSON OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a senior from Middlebury, Vt., has been selected the SCAC Women’s Track Athlete of the Week for meets held from Monday, March 24 through Sunday, March 30. SCAC Track & Field Weekly Release - Week 5
Olson set a school record in the 5K for the second time this spring at the WashU Distance Classic last Thursday. She posted a time of 16:45.58, breaking her own mark of 16:48.94 from the outdoor season-opening Oxy Distance Classic in Los Angeles. She finished eighth overall and was the top DIII runner in Thursday's race and has the best time in all of Division III this season in the 5K.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior Trinity Provost of St. Thomas won the 400 meters at the Trinity Invitational in a conference-leading time of 56.43, 10th best time in the nation. She then helped her 4x400 meter relay run a season best of 4:02.28, which is third-best in the conference. Senior Arden Neff of Southwestern took 11th overall at the 2025 97th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays in the 400 meter hurdles U/C timed final. Neff won the timed final section 4 with a season's best time of 1:03.27. Her time ranks her seventh on the NCAA Division III Outdoor qualifying list. Sophomore Annette Smith of Trinity won the 800 and ran a leg of the winning 4x400 at the Trinity Invitational. Her time of 2:15.35 is a new Trinity school record in the 800. She now ranks third in the 800 for the SCAC and first in the 4x400. Junior Sage Bartlett of Texas Lutheran ran 1:08.52 in the 400 hurdles to finish fourth at the Trinity Invite. Senior Naj Campbell of McMurry competed in the 100 hurdles and both relays at the Trinity Invitational, and her time of 15.25 in 100 meter hurdles won the meet. She also led off the 4x100 meter relay, which ran a time of 49.17, placing third at the meet. She capped off the evening by running anchor in the 4x400 meter relay, which ran a time of 4:01.87, also placing third in the meet. The McMurry 4x100 squad currently ranks 45th in Division III, and the 4x400 squad currently ranks 21st. Sophomore Rylee Whorton of Concordia (Texas) continued to show improvement at the Trinity Invitational, highlighted by a new PR in the 200 meters at 26.48. In the 100 meter dash, she clocked in at 12.79. She also competed in the relays for the Tornados with excellent splits in the 4x100 and 4x400.
