MEREDITH ERWIN
OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a senior libero from Oakton,
Va., has been named SCAC Volleyball Defensive Player-of-the-Week
for matches played from Monday, September 10 through Sunday,
September 16.
Erwin led Trinity to a 2-2 record over the past
week, splitting matches each day at the Trinity National
Invitational, and earning a spot on the All-Tournament Team.
Erwin paced the Tiger defense with 69 total digs
(4.06/set) in the tournament, as well as picking up a team-best six
service aces.
Against #5 Emory and Concordia (TX) on the final day of the
tournament, Erwin posted back-to-back performances
of 23 digs. It tied her season high in digs, and was her
fifth match this season to finish with 20 or more digs.
