Women's Cross Country Recap (Week 1) - Around the SCAC

SUWANEE, Ga. - The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference kicked off its 19th season of women's cross country this past weekend as each of the 10 of the conference's 11 teams began their season the week of Aug. 30 through Sept. 6. Oglethorpe was the lone school to not start.

The Hendrix College Warriors, led by this week's SCAC Women's Runner-of-the-Week Lolly Plummer, tallied a top-10 finish in the team's season opening race at the Memphis Twilight. Plummer ran an 18:58 5K to finish 11th overall in a field with numerous Division I runners. Her efforts helped place Hendrix at 10-place.
