The fourth-seeded Bulldogs won 25-15, 28-26, and 25-16 to advance to the SCAC Semifinals this afternoon. Texas Lutheran and Austin had previously played two five-set matches during regular season conference play.
Manda Martin recorded 33 assists and four service aces to lead Texas Lutheran to the victory, while both Vanecia Spencer and Brette Threadgill had 13 kills each. Spencer also recorded a .345 hitting percentage and two blocks in the match. Megan Lee finished with a match-high 23 digs, while Megan Dugie and Savannah Erskine each contributed 10 digs.
Shelby Eaves posted a double-double to lead the ‘Roos, finishing with 13 kills and 10 digs. Kelsey Klingler had 19 assists, and Rachel Fusselman finished with 14 digs and three aces. Reygan Holloman finished with five blocks.
Texas Lutheran will face tournament host Trinity at 4:30 p.m., while Austin will take on Centenary at the same time.
