Top Seeded Trinity Rolls Over Dallas to  Return to SCAC Title Game

The Tigers (27-9) jumped all over the Crusaders (23-12) early on and cruised to a 25-10, 25-21, and 25-18. Trinity will return to the SCAC Championship for the fourth straight season. They will defend their SCAC Championship from a year ago.

First team All-SCAC selection Maggie Emodi picked up 14 kills and 17 digs to lead the Tigers offensively while fellow first team selection Erin Cusenbary was excellent all-around, finishing with nine kills on a .500 hitting percentage and five blocks. Erika Edrington finished with 28 assists while Shannon Courtney had 19 digs. Layne Hubbard also contributed defensively with 14 digs.

For Dallas, Jaime Birzer led the way with nine kills while C.j. Broadbent added 26 assists. Jessie Koster added 27 digs to pace the Crusaders defensively.

The Tigers will take on the winner of the Southwestern and Colorado College game tomorrow afternoon at 4:30 p.m. Meanwhile, the Crusaders will play in the 3rd/4th place game against the loser of Southwestern and Colorado College at 2 p.m.
