San Antonio
San Antonio is a major city in south-central Texas with a rich colonial heritage. The Alamo, an 18th-century Spanish mission preserved as a museum, marks an infamous 1836 battle for Texan independence from Mexico. Following the San Antonio River, the miles-long River Walk is a landmark pedestrian promenade lined with cafes and shops. HemisFair Park’s 750-ft. Tower of the Americas overlooks the city.
Al G. Hill Jr. Tennis Stadium
Trinity University tennis teams play at the Al G. Hill Jr Tennis Stadium and at the Butch Newman Tennis Stadium for larger events, while the Pittman Tennis Courts are used primarily for recreation. The Mabry Tennis Pavilion, added in 2007 to the Butch Newman Tennis Stadium, enhanced the courts with a press box, covered seating, and new stadium lights in tribute to the "Father of Trinity Tennis," Clarence Mabry. Delavan can host over 1000 spectators for Tiger matches.
