SAN ANTONIO, Texas - Seniors Zach Lambert and Robert
Kitzinger had 19 points each to lead top-seeded Trinity University
to a 78-65 victory over No. 8 seed Texas Lutheran University Friday
afternoon in the first quarterfinal game of the 2014 SCAC Men's

The Tigers (17-9 overall) jumped out to a 38-23 halftime lead -
shooting 46.7% (14-30) from the field, including 42.4% (6-14) from
three-point range, but had to hold on after the Bulldogs rallied
late to cut the lead to eight on two different occasions.
Robert Kitzinger and Zach Lambert paced the Tiger offensive attack
with 19 points each, combining to go 12-25 from the field and 10-11
from the foul line. Kitzinger also pulled down eight boards
to lead Trinity, while William Young and Craig Saltarelli both
dished out a team-best four assists.
Texas Lutheran's bench combined to score 39 of the team's 65 points on Friday, led by 16 from Jordan Kouremetis and 14 from Robert Watson, Jr.
Trinity will face off against Colorado College in a rematch of last year's SCAC Championship game. Colorado earned an 89-81 win over the University of Dallas to advance in the second quarterfinal of the afternoon.
