SAN ANTONIO, Texas - Second-seed and defending conference
champion Trinity University reached its second straight SCAC
Championship game with a 60-54 win over No. 6 University of Dallas

The Tigers led by four points (24-20) at the half, but the Crusaders quickly tied the game 28-28 to start the second period. Trinity then surged to a 12-point lead, and looked like it might run away with the game. Dallas, however, had other plans, making it a 47-44 game with 6:01 to play.
Trinity hit 7-7 of its free throws in the final minute to seal the win, squashing a potential upset by Dallas.
Hannah Coley led Trinity with 14 points, hitting five of the team's free throws in the final minute, while Lauren Splawn had 13 points off the bench for the Tigers. Murphy Burns added 12 points to round out the team's double-figure scorers.
Libby Kruse pulled down a game-high 16 rebounds to go with eight points, five assists, and three blocks.
Christy Allen paced the Dallas team with 16 points and 13 rebounds, while Brooke Hagemann finished with 13 points and eight boards. Marleyna Bustamante finished with 13 points and seven rebounds.
Trinity and top seed Texas Lutheran University will meet for the SCAC Championship tomorrow at approximately 2:00 p.m.
