BRANTLEY FREEMAN OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a 6-4, 195-pound sophomore left-hander from Mansfield, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Baseball Pitcher-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, February 2 through Sunday, February 8.
 
Freeman pitched a complete game in the second game of the Pirates' double-header with Schreiner going all seven innings. He allowed just six hits and three runs (two earned) while striking out 12 and walking just one batter. He also pitched four solid innings in the first game against Mary Hardin-Baylor striking out four while allowing no hits, walks or runs. For the week he posted a 1.64 ERA in 11 innings of work.
