STEPHEN SMITH OF TRINITY
UNIVERSITY, a 6-0, 183-pound sophomore
quarterback from Northbrook, Illinois, has been named the SCAC
Football Offensive Players-of-the-Week for games played Saturday,
September 21.
In his first career start, Smith led
the Trinity football team to a 33-6 victory over the Sul Ross State
Lobos on Saturday afternoon.
Smith completed 17-31 for 273 yards and three touchdowns in the
game, sparked by a 10-18 performance in the second half. He led the
Tigers to back-to-back scoring drives in the third quarter to push
the team to a 19-0 lead.
