ZACH LAMBERT
OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a junior forward from
Frisco, Texas, has been named SCAC Basketball Player-of-the-Week
for games played Monday, November 26 through Sunday, December
2.
Lambert led Trinity to three wins in four games
last week, including a two-game SCAC weekend sweep at Centenary and
Austin College.
Lambert averaged 20.0 points/game for the week, connecting on 46.4% (26-56) of his shots in the four games. He also nailed 8-17 (47.1%) from three-point range, and 20-22 (90.9%) from the foul line.
Lambert led the team in both scoring and
rebounding for the week, also averaging 7.8 rebounds/game. He added
six assists and five total steals for the week.
Over the week, Lambert scored 20 points in three of the four games, with a high of 28 against Mary Hardin-Baylor on Wednesday. He connected on 11-22 shots and pulled in eight rebounds. Against Centenary in the 2012-13 SCAC opener, he scored a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds. He finished the week with a 22-point effort in the win over Austin College.
