LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Texas Lutheran University softball team entered the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Top 25 rankings this week, coming in at No. 23. FULL NFCA RANKINGS
The Bulldogs are currently 26-4 on the season and 16-0 in SCAC play. The number 23 seems to be a theme this week for TLU. Not only do the Bulldogs come in ranked 23rd, Texas Lutheran has won 23 straight games and has been receiving votes nearly all season long. It is the second time in school history that the Bulldogs softball team has been nationally ranked by the NFCA as they were ranked 20th on April 24th, 2013.
This past weekend, Texas Lutheran outscored the University of Dallas, 27-3, en rout to a sweep of the third place team in the SCAC. The defending SCAC champions have won 23 straight conference matchups, dating back to last season.
The Bulldogs are back at it this upcoming weekend as they welcome in the No. 2 team in the SCAC, the Southwestern University Pirates, for a four game series.
