ASHLEY HALBERT OF HENDRIX COLLEGE, a sophomore right-hander from Crandall, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Softball Pitcher-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, February 28 through Sunday, March 6.

Halbert went 2-0 last week after two complete game wins, including a 3-1 victory over No. 19 Washington University on Sunday.  Halbert did not allow an earned run over 12.0 innings and gave up just eight hits and three free passes.  She struck out eight batters and allowed just a .190 batting average against to improve to 3-2 on the year.
