JESSICA BROWN
OF RHODES COLLEGE, a freshman catcher from Dalton,
Ga., has been selected the SCAC Softball Offensive
Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, April 11 through
Sunday, April 17.
Brown put together an impressive weekend for the Lynx,
hitting .750 (9-for-12) with three home runs, 11 RBI and nine runs
scored, as the Lynx swept four games from Sewanee.
Brown also walked twice, giving her a .786 on base
percentage on the weekend. In Saturday’s first game,
Brown hit a Rhodes and SCAC record three HR,
collecting seven RBIs, as the Lynx cruised to a 17-0 win. On
Sunday, she went 3-for-3 with two runs scored in game one, and was
2-for-3 with three RBIs and two runs scored, while walking twice,
in game two.
