ASHLEY HALBERT OF HENDRIX COLLEGE, a junior pitcher from Crandall, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Softball Offensive Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, March 12 through Sunday, March 18.

Halbert hit .500 (6-for-12) with two home runs, a double, seven RBI and six runs scored, helping the Warriors to go 3-1 on the week. She also had a 1.083 slugging percentage and a .571 on-base percentage. Halbert hit a RBI-double and scored twice in Tuesday?s 12-0 win at Ozarks. In the second game against the Lady Eagles, she hit a two-run homer and scored twice. In Sunday?s 5-4 loss to Hamilton in Florida, Halbert went 3-for-3 with a home run and four runs batted in. She added another hit and scored in a 4-2, eight-inning win against St. Joseph?s (Brooklyn) on Sunday.

Halbert also went 3-0 in the circle with a 0.78 ERA, two shutouts and 15 strikeouts over 18 innings.
