VICTORIA ALCOZER OF SCHREINER
UNIVERSITY, a senior infielder from Belton,
Texas, has been selected the SCAC Softball Offensive
Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, April 14th through
Sunday, April 20th.
Alcozer was absolutely dominant
offensive weekend as she led the Schreiner Mountaineers to a four
game sweep over Centenary to clinch the No. 4 seed in the SCAC
Softball Tournament.
Alcozer went 7-for-16 for the weekend
including two doubles, a grand slam, and nin RBIs to pace the
potent Mountaineer offense.
Alcozer hit 5-for-9 in the pair of wins
on Friday, driving in five runs including three in the second game.
After a 2-0 win, Alcozer's grand slam proved to be the difference
in game two as the Mountaineers won 9-6.
