TAYLOR THOMPSON OF CENTENARY COLLEGE, a sophomore from Baton Rouge, La., is named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week for tournaments played through Tuesday, October 28.
Thompson earned a 14th place finish in the Abilene Intercollegiate this week after shooting a 163 (+22) to lead the Centenary Ladies to a fifth place tie.
Thompson shot an 83 through the first 18 holes to put herself in a tie for 15th place with teammate Jamie Wright, but improved to an 80 in the second round. Thompson’s second round score is her second lowest round of the season, with the only better round being at the Birmingham Southern Tournament as a 77.

Intercollegiate in a tie for 26th place to lead the Bulldogs
to an eighth place team finish. Durst shot rounds of 90 and 87 for
an overall mark of 177.
