KATIE GARRETT OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a senior goal keeper from Joshua, Texas has been selected as the SCAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Monday, October 1 through Sunday, October 7.
Garrett enjoyed her best career game over the
weekend, though the Tiger women went 0-1-1 on their latest road
trip.
Garrett recorded a career-high 21 saves on Friday
night, helping Trinity to a 1-1 double-overtime draw against
16th-ranked Wheaton (Ill.) College. The 21 saves are the
second-most in Trinity history for a single game, just three away
from the school record.
Against Loras, Garrett added six more saves to
her weekend total.
For the season, Garrett has recorded 34 total
saves, and holds a GAA of just 0.68 in her 11 games played.
Garrett has two shutouts and an 8-1-2 record for
the Tigers this season.
