EMILY JORGENS OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a senior midfielder from Austin, Texas has been selected the SCAC Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for matches played Friday, August 29 through Monday, September 1.
Jorgens led the scoring effort for the Tigers in a 7-1 defeat of the College of St. Scholastica to open the 2014 season. In the match, Jorgens recorded two goals and two assists, having a hand in each goal scored by Trinity in the first half.
Jorgens marked six shots, five of which were on
goal, in the game, giving her a .833 shot-on-goal percentage. She
also leads the conference with six points.

College scored two game winners in as many
days, tallying one with just a minute left to give the 'Roos a 1-0
win over Howard Payne and breaking a scoreless tie for a win over
ETBU. Senior forward
Nicole Johnson of Dallas scored two goals against
Concordia (Texas), marking seven shots, six on goal. Freshman Ashley Foster of
Schreiner helped the Mountaineers to a 1-1 week and an
opening day victory over Howard Payne with one goal. Freshman Angel Grayson of
Southwestern Grayson was a dynamic forward and
Southwestern's most targeted player this weekend and had the most
shots for the Pirates.
