MARIA
POLLIFRONE OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY,
a first-year midfielder from Arlington, Texas, has been
selected as the SCAC Women's Soccer Offensive Player-of-the-Week
for matches played from Monday, October 27 through
Sunday, November 2.
Pollifrone led the Pirates to a 2-1 comeback
victory over Trinity University with two goals in the win.
The two goals, which are the first of the season for
Pollifrone, were scored at the beginning of the
second half of play in the 47th and 51st minutes of the match and
allowed Southwestern to secure second-place in the conference
standings.
