JORDAN AZAR OF
TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a sophomore forward from
Albuquerque, N.M., has been selected as the SCAC Women's Soccer
Co-Offensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Monday,
October 6 through Sunday, October 12.
Azar scored three goals over the weekend to lead
Trinity to a pair of SCAC wins, moving them up to second on the
league standings.
Azar had two goals less than 17 minutes into the
second half to push Trinity's two-goal halftime lead to a 4-0
game. Those goals were her first of the season. On
Sunday against Sewanee, Azar capped a dramatic 3-2
comeback with the game-winning goal in the 87th minute of play
against Sewanee.
For the season, Azar now has three goals and an
assist, as well as Sunday's game-winner. Last year, prior to
a late season-ending injury, Azar had four goals and seven assists
in 13 games played.
