SCAC has 11 swim squads named CSCAA Scholar-Athlete Teams
July 10, 2009CHICAGO, Ill. - The College Swim Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) unveiled its Spring 2009 list of Scholar-Athlete Teams, and 11 SCAC squads (six women's, five men's) earned places on the listing. In all, 347 teams representing 238 colleges and universities earned the distinction based on a team GPA of 3.0 or higher. -
Seven from SCAC earn Division III 2009 Individual Scholar All-America Recognition; Eight more named Honorable Mention

The announcement was made Friday by Southwestern University Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Dr. Glada Munt. Carrington comes to Southwestern after serving as the head coach for the San Antonio Wave.

Trinity women win sixth straight SCAC Swimming & Diving Championships
February 14, 2009NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Trinity University Tigers women won their sixth consecutive Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Swimming and Diving Championship Saturday. The Tigers won the meet with 865 points, outdistancing runner-up Centre College, with 789. Trinity has captured nine team titles overall.

February 13, 2009NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Continuing the theme from the Thursday evening finals, records continued to fall at an impressive rate during the Friday evening finals at the 2009 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Swimming & Diving Championships. A total of seven records were set Friday, including NCAA "A" cut times in the women's 100-yard breast and the men's 200-yard freestyle.

Trinity women; DePauw and Trinity men tied for first after day two of SCAC Championships
February 12, 2009Nashville, Tenn. - Day two of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Swimming and Diving Championships finished in historic fashion as nine of the ten events contested finished in record fashion. Every event, except for the men's 400 medley relay, saw new conference bests as the Trinity University women maintained its day on lead. The DePauw University and Trinity University men ended day two tied for first.
