MADDIE MURPHY
OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a senior from Corpus
Christi, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women’s Cross
Country Runner-of-the-Week for meets run through Saturday, October
20. It is the third time this year she has earned
Runner-of-the-Week honors.
Murphy finished eighth at the UW-Oshkosh
Brooks Cross Country Invitational over the weekend, leading the
Tigers to a fourth-place finish among stiff competition. Her time
of 21:48 in the 6K race was a personal best, and she became just
the second women’s player in school history to break 22
minutes. The time ranks second all-time in school
history.
