Molly McCullough, Trinity University, Runner of the Week (Week 4)

MOLLY MCCULLOUGH OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a first-year runner from Portland, Ore., has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week for meets run through Saturday, September 26th.

McCullough led the Trinity women, who are fourth in the latest USTFCCCA NCAA Division III South/Southeast Regional Cross Country rankings, to a first-place finish among the eight teams that posted a score in the Non-Division 1 portion of the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Islander Splash this past Saturday.

McCullough finished first among Tiger runners for the second time this season and finished the 5K course in a time of 19:29. Despite the hot and humid conditions, she finished 11th among all competitors - including Division I opposition - and third among non-Division I competitors.

McCullough navigated her way up the field throughout the race to earn her standout finish.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Freshman Bridget Kennedy of the University of Dallas, in just her second Collegiate race (and second-ever 5K), ran a 20:00 at the Codfish Bowl in Boston, Mass. at Franklin Park. She led the team for a second straight week and finished in the top 20 in a deep Northeastern Division-III meet.
